Howdy, Lisa! Thanks for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!
I am already drooling just thinking about the scrumptious Mickey-shaped beignets at the Disneyland Resort. I remember waiting in a pretty long line to get some during a past trip, but it was worth every second! You'll be delighted to know that there are a few places to get these powdered sugar-coated, fried bits of deliciousness without sitting down for a full meal. Although, in my opinion, making meal out of beignets alone sounds absolutely perfect!
The first place is the
Mint Julep Bar in New Orleans Square. This walk-up counter is located in the back portion of the French Market Restaurant near the Disneyland Railroad station. You can purchase beignets in a three or six pack. They also usually have seasonal flavors available here. Consider pairing your beignets with a non-alcoholic mint julep for the full experience.
The other place to grab some beignets is
Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen Express in the Downtown Disney District. They may not be Mickey-shaped here, but, trust me, they are just as tasty. You can choose from the traditional size in a four, six, or 10 pack, or a dozen bite-size beignets.
Thanks for letting me talk about these warm, soft, doughy delights! I hope you enjoy one for me during your next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
