Hiya Jess,
Welcome to planDisney! I'm super excited to be answering your question today about
Disney PhotoPass photos.
I love taking photos at Walt Disney World Resort; some of my favorite pictures in my home are photos I purchased downloads of using Memory Maker and had enlarged to hang in my hallways. I consider myself to be a mini-expert on photo downloads, but I definitely had to "dig a little deeper" to find the answer to your question. In my experience, all of the images I have downloaded from Disney PhotoPass have been high resolution and excellent quality for both social media and printing (I have 11 x 17 prints throughout my home). For this reason, I've admittedly never looked at the specific resolution and color scheme. After looking back through my most recent Disney PhotoPass downloads, I noted that they were all around 300 dpi, and the color resolution for the downloads is sRGB. All of this to say, I think you will be delighted with the quality of the images you download from your magical vacation.
While you are considering Memory Maker, can I suggest booking a
Capture Your Moment session?! As someone who knows how important good photos are, I think you will love this Enchanting Extra. I recently did a Capture Your Moment shoot at Disney's
Magic Kingdom Park to commemorate my pregnancy announcement. I loved having a Cast Member find fantastic locations for photos I had never even thought of. They also ran interference with other Guests to ensure that we didn't have any uninvited individuals in the images. Best of all, with Memory Maker, all of those photos are included! I ended up with nearly 50 images that I couldn't wait to share and display. You can book a Capture Your Moment photo session for any of the four theme parks.
I hope I was able to answer your question Jess and that you have all that you need to decide on Memory Maker. Please come back and see us!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
