    If I buy a MagicBand+ when I checkin for my Disney Hotel reservation online does that have to be the MagicBand I use at the time of my trip? Can I link a different MagicBand to the room reservation instead?

    Hi there Mary Claire, Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for stopping by with your excellent question. I'm thrilled to assist you! How exciting that you're planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort! You are sure to make awesome memories at The Most Magical Place on Earth!

    If you purchase a MagicBand+ when you check in for your reservation online, you do not have to use that specific MagicBand for your trip. You can link a different MagicBand to your room reservation instead. 

    You can buy another MagicBand either before your trip or upon arrival at Disney World. MagicBands can be purchased online through the DisneyStore website or at various locations within the parks and resorts. Once you have your new MagicBand, you can link it to your Disney account through the My Disney Experience app or website.

    Any MagicBand linked to your Disney account can be used for room entry, park entry, purchases, and other MagicBand functionalities such as Disney PhotoPass. Make sure the MagicBand you prefer to use is activated in your My Disney Experience account. You can manage the activation status of all your MagicBands through the app or website.
