Hello and welcome to planDisney, Joecelyn. We're so glad you stopped by with this question and I'm delighted to help.
I am even more delighted to hear that you are thinking about unlocking a year of magic by becoming a
Magic Key holder. Magic Key passes are subject to availability and currently, the only pass available for sale is the Inspire Key pass. You can absolutely use your
Disney Gift Card towards the purchase of your Magic Key pass. Keep in mind that only one gift card (up to $1,000) can be used when making your purchase at the Disneyland site.
If you have several gift cards, you can easily consolidate them into one gift card by signing into your account and visiting "My Cards" at the
Disney Gift Card site. You can transfer balances from as many cards as you like to one card up to the Disney Gift Card maximum value of $1,000. You can then use that one gift card to be applied towards the total purchase of your Magic Key pass and the remaining balance can be paid with a credit card.
If you'd like to use multiple gift cards, I chatted with a Cast Member who shared that you may be able to be accommodated at the ticket booths at the main entrance. If you decide to try this route, I highly recommend consolidating and transferring balances to have as few gift cards as possible.
I love being a Magic Key holder. Not only do you gain access to
discounts and exclusive offers, but my favorite part is being able to visit the Disneyland Resort whenever I need an extra dose of magic (with a valid theme park reservation) in my life. Speaking of exclusive offers, I'm super excited to have an opportunity to purchase tickets for
Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party next week, a couple of days before they go on sale to the general public.
I hope this has been helpful, Joecelyn, and gets you one step closer to your Magic Key pass. Please come back to visit us with any other questions that you might have. Until then, here's wishing you a year filled with magic!
