October is a wonderful time to visit Walt Disney World Resort. My family and I always look forward to the festive decor and the crisp autumn air. There's something magical about the seasonal transformation! Disney goes all out, making it a highlight of our year.
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is also an exceptionally well-done event, exclusive to ticket holders for an additional cost. On party days, the park closes early. For example, October 27 is one of those dates, so if you don't have party tickets, plan to leave by 7:00 PM.
I personally enjoy visiting
Magic Kingdom Park on party days since the crowds tend to be lighter. However, if this is your only chance to visit Magic Kingdom, remember you won't be able to stay past 7:00 PM. If seeing the fireworks or experiencing a full day at the park is important to you, I suggest considering a different date to make the most of your visit.
Bonus tip: While you're at Magic Kingdom, be sure to stop by
Sleepy Hollow for a delicious waffle. They offer both savory and sweet options that are absolutely sensational. I've tried both, and I loved every bite! And don't miss the
Happily Ever After fireworks. I recommend grabbing your spot about an hour before the show, just to the right of the Walt Disney and Mickey statue behind the garden gate, for an unobstructed view.
