Can I buy Magic Bands at MK before park opening, or is it better to visit Disney Springs the night before (day of arrival) and get it all set up there? We are not staying at resort and live in Denmark, so advance purchase is not an option. Thanks!

    Greetings Jannie!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with a great question!

I come from Brazil so many times family members and friends ask me the exact same question. They also want to know what the best way to get their MagicBands is before heading for the theme parks.

I definitely recommend going to Disney Springs the day before visiting Magic Kingdom Park and stopping by World of Disney where you will find an amazing selection of MagicBands. Another great place to buy them is at Disney’s Pin Traders. After you have purchased your MagicBands, Cast Members can help you link them to each member of your party on My Disney Experience. You can also stop by Guest Relations at Disney Springs and they will happily assist you getting you all set up. The best thing about doing this at Disney Springs is that you also get to enjoy great dining and entertainment options.

If you prefer, there are two Disney merchandise locations at Orlando International Airport where you can shop for MagicBands upon arrival – Disney’s Earport located on Main Terminal East Hall and Magic of Disney on West Hall. This is a good option for international Guests who plan on visiting the theme parks the day after arriving in Orlando. Sometimes we are so tired after a long haul flight that the mere thought of having to go somewhere right after arriving might be exhausting for some travelers. I personally prefer to go straight to my hotel to shower and rest, but if you have the energy then I recommend stopping by Disney Springs.

I hope this helps you while planning! Please stop by again if you have additional questions.

    Best magical wishes,
