Lightning Lane question! Lightning Lane is one of my favorite tools for making the most of a Disney day. My family uses it often, and it really helps us spend less time waiting in line and more time making memories together.
So, Marie, Let's jump right into your question! If you're staying at a
Disney Resort, you'll be able to purchase your
Lightning Lane passes seven days before your check-in date for the length of your stay, up to 14 days. If you're staying off-property, your purchase window opens three days before your park visit.
When you open the
My Disney Experience app, you'll see the option for Lightning Lane Passes. From there, you can choose the option and date that work best for you and your travel party. Just a tip: be sure your travel party is linked through friends and family if you would also like to reserve Lightning Lanes for them.
Lightning Lane Multi Pass lets you choose up to
three experiences and arrival windows at the same theme park before your visit. One of my favorite features is that once you've redeemed your first selection, you can continue making additional Lightning Lane selections throughout the day, of course, subject to availability. If you have the
Park Hopper Option, you can even make those additional selections in another park after you've hopped.
If there's one attraction at the top of your must-do list, Lightning Lane Single Pass lets you purchase access to select individual attractions not included with Multi Pass. For instance, when we visit Hollywood Studios, my daughter is a huge Star Wars fan, so we always purchase the single pass for
Rise of the Resistance.
There's also the
Lightning Lane Premier Pass, which gives you one-time entry to every available Lightning Lane attraction in a single park for the day, including many of the most popular rides. The best part is that you don't have to choose return times. You simply visit each attraction whenever it fits into your day.
Once your return window arrives, just head to the Lightning Lane entrance at the attraction and tap in using your
MagicBand+, Disney MagicMobile pass, or Key to the World Card. Then you're on your way!
