Hi Amy, welcome to planDisney!
Seasons come and seasons go, especially at Walt Disney World Resort. The Mickey pumpkin wreaths I saw at Magic Kingdom Park last week will soon be replaced by evergreen and ribbons. Lucky for me, my favorite seasonal treat has already arrived in EPCOT. The Caramel Gingerbread Cookie Sandwich from
Karamell-Küche in EPCOT's Germany pavilion is a gift from the Sugar Plum Fairy, herself. My top tip is to use your
My Disney Experience mobile app to place a
mobile food and beverage order for this delightful treat.
Individual Lightning Lanes are a great way to guarantee a shorter wait time for some of the most popular theme park attractions. I was recently unable to join the 7:00 a.m. virtual queue for
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and was thankful for the opportunity to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane for this must-do attraction. You can select your arrival window and purchase up to two Individual Lightning Lanes each day for two different attractions. Disney Resort hotel Guests can purchase Individual Lightning Lanes at 7:00 a.m.; all other Guests can purchase at park opening.
An Individual Lightning Lane does not guarantee you access to a theme park that has reached capacity and is closed for park hopping. The same goes for advance dining reservations. Individual Lightning Lane purchases are nonrefundable and cannot be modified, so my best tip for guaranteed entry is to only purchase an Individual Lightning Lane for an attraction that aligns with your
theme park reservation. That being said, park hopping is rarely suspended for capacity reasons; the only situation I'd specifically avoid is purchasing an Individual Lightning Lane with an evening return time for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train on New Year's Eve unless you have a theme park reservation for Magic Kingdom Park.
I hope this information helps you maximize the magic on your park days, Amy. Enjoy spending the most wonderful time of the year at
The Most Magical Place on Earth.
Choose magic,
Jennifer
