How do I buy Lightening Passes and link them to my tickets?

    Hello Beth!

Welcome to planDisney! I'm sure you are very excited about your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort. According to my estimate, it looks like you are less than two weeks away from some magical moments.

Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Single Pass, and even Premier Pass are all able to be purchased on the My Disney Experience Mobile App. You must have this app downloaded on your phone as you will need it not only to purchase the passes but to use them during your trip. When you start the purchase process you will be able to select the eligible party you wish to apply it to. Guests are eligible when they have valid tickets and plan to use them in the correct timeline. The tickets will automatically be linked to the passes.

If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel you can make your Lightning Lane purchase 7 days before the first day of your stay and set it up for your entire trip. If you are not staying at Resort Hotel you can purchase it 3 days before. For both days, the window to buy them opens up at 7 am. Set an alarm and don't miss out on getting the Lightning Lane times you want for the attractions you consider "must-dos."

I hope that this helps and you have a great time!

    Happy Planning!

Meet the Panelist: Nimmy, New York

Hey, it's Nimmy from New York! Just like my guy Jiminy Cricket I am your wisecracking and helpful guide to making the best decisions for your Disney vacation! My husband and I work very hard to journey to our favorite place on Earth, Walt Disney World Resort, as much as we can. We have traveled as just adults, with babies, kids, teenagers, and senior citizens. We have seen so many characters, eaten at amazing places, and consumed a ton of Dole Whips. So "give a little whistle" and let me be your guide! Learn More About Nimmy
