I can definitely relate to the feeling of experiencing geo-blocking, or restrictions based on where you're located when trying to make purchases for visit to
international Disney Destinations. This year I experienced this at
Tokyo Disney Resort,
Hong Kong Disneyland and also
Shanghai Disney Resort - and thankfully the Cast Members there were all very helpful in helping those of us visiting from foreign countries to utilize third-party websites and ticket providers for admission and book select experiences. I'm taking the opportunity this week to collect information and research
the holiday offerings here at Walt Disney World Resort and had a chance to speak with the
Guest Relations Cast Members at
Disney's Hollywood Studios about your question, and here's what they shared:
- At the current time, the European version of the Walt Disney World Resort website does not provide links for guests to be able to purchase tickets to Disney Jollywood Nights. Instead, they recommend calling in directly for assistance or purchasing your tickets in person. (In my opinion, waiting until you arrive can be risky due to the chance of certain dates no longer being available, but on the other hand it does not currently seem to sell out as quickly as Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party does.)
- If you're arriving in the United States sooner, you may be able to gain access to the Walt Disney World Resort website once you land and are able to connect to the internet without the geographic limitations imposed on making these online purchases. Alternatively, other guests such as my friends visiting from Europe have also taken advantage of the services of travel agents or even authorized ticket providers that you can easily look up online!
