Can you still buy ice cream buckets at the water park? Also are the on the DDP

Greetings Suzanne! Thanks for sliding by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your splash-tacular water park question. I'd be happy to lend a fin.

My family just adores spending time at the Walt Disney World Water Parks. I love to chill out at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, and my husband prefers to hang ten at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, so we alternate taking the plunge at both. Our little Mouseketeers are delighted to slip 'n slide at either park, and when they need to whet their appetites, both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon offer some sensational sweet treats.

At Typhoon Lagoon, Happy Landings Ice Cream serves up a variety of frozen concoctions including the Sand Pail Sundae - a cool treat featuring two kinds of soft-serve topped with waffle cone and cookie pieces, hot fudge, sprinkles and more. It's presented in a plastic bucket, so grab your shovel and dig in! While this delightful dish may not be redeemed with Disney Dining Plan credits, there are several menu options at Happy Landings Ice Cream that are eligible snack items on a Disney Dining Plan. A purple and white square icon indicates available snack offerings, and a friendly Cast Member will always be on hand to clarify.

If a little sugar rush is what it takes to summit Mount Gushmore and experience its legendary slides, stop by I.C. Expeditions at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park. The Sand Pail Sundae is scooped up here as well, along with other frozen favorites. Check for that purple snack icon to see what can be redeemed with your Disney Dining Plan.

For a miniature treat that is big on taste, try the Mini Donuts, available at a stand near Lottawatta Lodge at Blizzard Beach or the Joffrey’s stand just across from Singapore Sal’s merchandise shop at Typhoon Lagoon. These are my children's favorite snacks and a priority when we visit the water parks.

I hope this has been helpful as you plan your water park visits this summer. If there is anything else we can do as your vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth approaches, swim on back and see us again.

    Surfs up!
