Hey There, Solinda!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. If you ask me, the only thing better than visiting Walt Disney World Resort is the magic of sharing that experience with your family. How cool that you're planning to purchase Walt Disney World theme park admission for your grandchildren –– if you ask me, that makes you both a Grandma
and a Fairy Godmother!
As a Florida Resident, you're welcome to purchase
Walt Disney World tickets and Annual Passes at special Florida-Resident rates for both yourself and your grandchildren under the age of 18, even if they don't reside in the State of Florida. Just remember that you need to provide
proof of Florida Residency before these tickets can be activated and used. If you have a valid Florida ID, this can be done online at the time of purchase or use can show proof of a Florida residential address at any
Walt Disney World Guest Relations location or theme park ticketing window.
I also want to share that while Florida Residents are eligible to purchase
all four Walt Disney World Annual Pass types, sales of most new Annual Pass tiers are currently paused. At this time, the only new Annual Pass that's available for purchase is the Disney Pixie Dust Pass. While this pass comes at a great price point, it also has the most blockout dates of any Annual Pass tier (including all weekends and holidays). For that reason, be sure to take a close look at the
blockout calendar to help you decide if that pass is a good fit for your family before making your purchase.
I really appreciate you stopping by planDisney, Solinda. If you think of more Disney vacation planning questions, I hope you'll visit us again –– we're always here to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Amy
