How can I buy a gift card in Canada and send to my granddaughters while they are in Disney World as an e-gift?

    Hi Cristina,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question. I love the fact that you want to spoil your granddaughters from afar while they’re visiting Walt Disney World Resort!

Unfortunately, from what I understand at the moment, Disney Gift Cards can’t be purchased online in any format by using a Canadian credit card, even as an eGift. That being said, there are several Canadian retailers that now sell Disney Gift Cards, which can be used at the Disney Parks just like ones purchased in the United States. The only difference is that you’ll have to physically ship them to your granddaughters and they’ll have to pay the the day’s exchange rate when they do use them.

If you do want your granddaughters to have them as a surprise when they arrive in Walt Disney World Resort, you can ship them directly to their Disney Resort hotel, using the address located on its main page. Make sure that you put in their full name and date of their arrival. A tracking number would also be a great idea to have, as well as the Disney Gift Card’s serial number, just in case something happens to them during shipment.

I hope my answer helps you prepare a wonderful surprise for your granddaughters! Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any other questions about how to help them have a truly wonderful vacation.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
