    If I buy genie plus and another member of my party buys genie plus on their own app, can we still book as a party? Or does genie plus have to be bought all together on one app as a party?

    Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us a question, my fellow Canadian!

    I often plan visits to Walt Disney World Resort with multiple families, sometimes across several different parties, so I had similar questions when Disney Genie+ Service was first introduced. The good news is that you’ll be able to make Lightning Lane entrance selections for anyone in your party who has purchased Genie+ for that day, even if the service was purchased via different transactions. Just make sure that you’re all linked to each other in your “My Family & Friends” list in your My Disney Experience account and that everyone has valid Theme Park Reservations for the days you’re intending to visit a Theme Park and you should be good to go.

    Remember that you can start making your Lightning Lane selections as early as 7 AM if you’re staying in a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, so be sure to set that alarm bright and early. And while the app will tell you when you can make your next selection, I like to set a timer on my mobile phone to make sure that I don’t miss my chance!
