Hi Sue,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question!
Disney Genie+ Service is a helpful resource for those hoping to select their rides in advance. However, it is a digital resource through the My Disney Experience mobile app, so you would need a cell phone or even a small tablet to make your
Lightning Lane and Individual Lightning Lane reservations. I do have one solution that I used recently, but first let’s discuss dining!
Though
Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering is an option for guests through the app, you do have the option to order in person at most dining locations. Instead of heading to the Mobile Order stations, you’ll just head to the counter to order and purchase your items!
Going back to Disney Genie+, if you aren’t able to make reservations through your own device during the day, maybe share your plans with someone else in your party who has a cell phone. That way they can manage the plans and make the Lightning Lanes on your behalf. I recently did this for my family and it worked out really well!
Also remember that you don’t need to use Disney Genie+ to have a great time in the Theme Parks, you can always use the stand-by line! Just start your day early in the Theme Parks and have a general plan for the rides you want to do for that day. When the Theme Park opens, head to your favorite attraction that way you get to enjoy it early in the day with (potentially) less of a wait! At this time, there’s also
Early Theme Park Entry for Disney Resort Hotel Guests which could help you get on a few more attractions if this is an option for next year.
I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is useful as you prepare for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation next year. In the meantime, if you have any other planning questions,
please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
The Magic Is Calling,
Bryanna
