Welcome to planDisney, LaDonna!
Thanks for choosing to be our Guest. As a dad to two young Mouseketeers, I always love helping parents (and grandparents!) plan their next trip to The Happiest Place on Earth. Seeing the magic through the eyes of children is hard to put into words. Make sure you get plenty of photos and videos. You'll cherish those memories forever, LaDonna.
In answering your question, it depends on how old your grandchildren are. Kids under three years old are considered "Guests of Mickey" and don't require a theme park ticket or reservation. This is great news! But there's more: if you decide to purchase
Disney Genie+, any kids in your party under 3 years old will be able to join you on any attractions you make Lightning Lane selections for (assuming they meet the height requirement, of course). However, if your grandchildren are above the age of three, they'll need their own tickets and you will therefore need to purchase Disney Genie+ for them separately.
I hope that's helpful, LaDonna. My favorite park for the kiddos is
Disneyland Park. Here's a list of kid-friendly attractions to help you plan your Disney day:
Alice in Wonderland
Casey Jr. Circus Train
Dumbo the Flying Elephant
"it’s a small world"
King Arthur Carrousel
Mad Tea Party
Peter Pan’s Flight
Storybook Land Canal Boats
Jungle Cruise
Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage
Disneyland Railroad
If you're planning on going to
Disney California Adventure Park, you can't go wrong with
Cars Land. I think that might be my son's favorite place in the universe.
I trust you'll have an enchanting time, LaDonna. Thanks for letting me help plan your great, big, beautiful tomorrow.
Mike
