Hello, Judith! Thanks for visiting us here at planDisney with your question. I've been an
Annual Passholder for years now and absolutely love it. The perks of the program are just amazing. I love having complimentary theme park parking at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks, the use of Memory Maker for the entire year and discounts on merchandise, food and hotel stays are awesome too!
Since the reopening of Walt Disney World last summer, the sale of new annual passes has been temporarily suspended. So if you've spent some time online trying to find the Florida resident passes and prices that's why you aren't seeing a lot of information at this time. I don't know as to when the program is going to make its return. I can't imagine it would be too much longer though. Currently, Guests with current annual passes that are about to expire are being able to renew at this time. Also, Guests who last year took a refund on their annual passes instead of the extension are also being able to purchase a new annual pass on a case-by-case basis. Because of these reasons, I don't think the program is going anywhere and will make its return pretty soon. When the announcement is made, we will be able to find out all of the details over on the
Disney Parks Blog.
Until then, if you are a
Florida resident, then you qualify for a really great discount on tickets. Right now, you can save 40% on 4-day tickets, 30% on 3-day tickets and there is even some savings if purchasing a 1-day ticket. Now you can even digitally verify your residency so you don't have to wait in line on the day you want to visit the Walt Disney World Theme Parks saving you a lot of time. When you go to purchase your tickets online, you'll fill out the "Your Florida Resident Information" form upon checkout and if you purchase tickets through the MyDisneyExperience app, you'll verify your residency in the "Customize Your Tickets" step. To verify your residency, the easiest way is with a valid Florida driver's license with a Florida address, a valid Florida state-issued ID card with a Florida address or a valid Florida-baed military ID. If you don't have one of those, there are other options. Proof of mortgage, some bills and select pieces of mail will also work. If you have questions about proof of Florida residency you can always visit the
website (linked for you) or call (407)WDW-PASS and a Cast Member will be able to help.
I have my fingers crossed that you'll be able to join the Walt Disney World Annual Passholder family very soon, Judith. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to come back and
ask me. I'm happy to help. Have a great day!
