Can I buy my families tickets at separate times and still link it to my Disney experience?

    Hi Heather!

Welcome to planDisney!  I'm so glad you stopped by to be part of our world where were happy to talk about all of the gadgets, gizmos, tips, and tricks to help you plan a wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

Heather, among those gadgets and gizmos, is the very important vacation planning tool, My Disney Experience.  You can access your account either online or through the My Disney Experience Mobile App.  Here you can manage your resort reservations, dining reservations, MagicBands, and theme park tickets.

If you are purchasing a vacation package, you must purchase the same tickets for everyone in your party.  However, if you are purchasing your tickets separately from your hotel reservations, you can make those purchases at different times and still link them to Family and Friends through your My Disney Experience Account.

To link your tickets, you want to view your plans in your My Disney Experience Account and then hover over "Park Tickets."  Two blue buttons will appear - "Select Tickets" or "Link Tickets."  If you've purchased your tickets directly through Disney, they should appear here, but if you've purchased from somewhere else, you can choose to link your tickets so they show up in your account.  Once your tickets have been added, you can reassign unused tickets to those on your Family and Friends List.  Your tickets will be ready to use with any connected MagicBands or by creating a pass with Disney's MagicMobile service.

Heather, I see you're planning to visit during the fall which means that you'll be able to say bibbidi-bobbidi-BOO with special seasonal celebrations around the parks.  If you're interested in attending Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, please remember that this requires a separate admission ticket.  Historically, we've found more out about dates and ticket sales around "Halfway-to-Halloween" in April.  You'll want to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for announcements as tickets are very popular and sell quickly!

Once your vacation begins, you can continue to use your My Disney Experience Mobile App to do things like purchase Disney Genie+ service, join Virtual Queues, and shop with Merchandise Mobile Checkout.  One of my favorite features though is Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering.  This allows you to place your order from a wide selection of Quick-Service restaurants and then choose your return time to pick-up.  You'll save time waiting in line which means more time for fun in the parks!

Heather, I hope this helps as you continue to plan for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!  Please stop by and see us again with any other questions!

    Cheers,
    Kristi
