    If you buy into DVC with Hilton Head as a home resort, is it difficult to make reservations at the properties in Orlando?

    Hi Lauren! Disney's Hilton Head Resort is one or our family favorites, being just a few hours away it's the perfect short trip retreat! And while it's easy to be captivated by the picturesque beauty of Hilton Head, there are many more Disney Vacation Club resorts just waiting for you to experience. The good news is you'll have no trouble at all making reservations at the Disney Vacation Club properties at Walt Disney World Resort...it's all in the planning!

    You have priority booking at your Disney Vacation Club home resort up to 11 months from your check-in date. Disney's Hilton Head Resort is super popular so you have a definite advantage with this extended booking window. For all other Disney Vacation Club resorts that are not your home resort you can begin booking your reservation up to 7 months before your check-in date.

    Availability is dependent on the time of year you're traveling and the specific accommodations you're requesting. If you're willing to be flexible with your resort choices you'll have no problem booking a reservation. Our home resort is Disney Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village but I like to switch it up when we visit Walt Disney World Resort and experience different resorts. Sometimes if my first choice is not available I book a second or even third choice alternative to lock in the date and then watch to see what comes available later on. It's super easy to make changes and Member Services is really helpful.

    No matter which resort you visit at Walt Disney World Resort, you won't be disappointed...each Disney Vacation Club resort has its own unique signature Disney Magic guaranteed to please!
