Hi there, Kayo! Sending you a warm California welcome from the Happiest Place on Earth! It sounds like you’ll be making a bi-coastal journey of pixie-dusted proportions—swooping from the magic of Walt Disney World to the wonder of the Disneyland Resort!
You asked a great question about whether Disneyland tickets can be purchased at Walt Disney World. I wasn't quite sure myself, so I reached out to a super helpful Cast Member over on the East Coast who shared the inside scoop. Unfortunately, Kayo, tickets for the California-based Disneyland Resort can't be purchased at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
But don't worry, getting your Disneyland tickets is easy! You can purchase them from the
tickets page of the Disneyland website. You'll be able to choose between two fantastic ticket types: One Park Per Day, or the ever-popular Park Hopper. You can also purchase them through the
Disneyland mobile app if that's more your style. Now, Kayo, since you'll be coming from the Walt Disney World Resort, you're probably a pro with the My Disney Experience mobile app. Just a heads-up that Disneyland and Walt Disney World have their own separate apps. So, for the best experience, you’ll want to download the Disneyland app before you arrive.
One thing I love about visiting the Disney Parks on both U.S. coasts is that it feels like coming home no matter which park I'm at. I love the similarities between Disneyland Park and Magic Kingdom Park at Disney World. On a recent trip, I rode many of the same attractions on both coasts just to see if I could spot the differences. Blasting off on Space Mountain felt wonderfully different, yet comfortingly familiar. And "it's a small world" had the same catchy anthem, but there were so many unique touches that I lost count!
Of course, while I was at Walt Disney World, I had to check out some attractions that are unique to the East Coast! (I absolutely love Journey Into Imagination With Figment at EPCOT!). And, Kayo, I think you’ll enjoy doing the same thing during your visit to Disneyland, discovering attractions you can't find at Walt Disney World. One of my favorite Disneyland-exclusive attractions is
Indiana Jones Adventure. Get ready for an energetic and bumpy ride complete with fire, a larger-than-life slithering surprise, and a narrow escape that will have you holding your breath until the very end!
You may also want to check out
Disney California Adventure Park while you’re here. If you enjoy The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror in Florida, then
Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! just might become your new favorite!! Although the ride itself is a blast, I also really enjoy the pre-show before the ride actually begins. Keep an eye on the shelves in the Collector’s room—Rocket has been known to make off with a souvenir or two!
And lastly, of course I have to recommend a famous, cinnamon-sugar-dusted snack from one of Disneyland’s
Churro Carts. You can also enjoy the flavors of a churro in a white chocolate form with a Churro Toffee Square from
Candy Palace!
Have a truly magical time on your bi-coastal Disney adventure, Kayo! If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask. We're all ears (especially Mickey-shaped ones)!
