Can I buy a Disneyland ticket and get it service as a gift for someone else

Hey there, Carla! Welcome to planDisney. We really appreciate you taking the time to ask us your question about gifting a ticket.

The answer is yes! You can purchase a ticket as a gift for someone else. You can make a purchase through the Disneyland website or on the Disneyland app. Then you will be sent a confirmation email. This email is what you will need to save and share with the recipient. It will have the information the recipient will need to get their Ticket ID number to link to their Disney account and Disneyland app. Paper tickets are no longer mailed out, as all tickets are now digital eTickets.

Currently, all theme park tickets also require theme park ticket reservations for entry into the parks. When you go through the steps of purchasing a ticket, it will ask you to pick a date for your visit and this will make a theme park ticket reservation for the ticket after purchase. If you do not know what date your recipient wants to visit, that's okay. You can pick any date and they can cancel and change their theme park ticket reservation. I would just recommend that you select a ticket that is Tier 6. This would allow the to change their date to any date that has reservations available. If you purchase a ticket for a Tier 3 day, they would only be able to go on Tier 1, Tier 2, or Tier 3 day.

Carla, thanks for stopping by! If you have any other questions about gifting a ticket or your recipient has any questions, please stop by again. We are here to help!
