Hey there, hi there, Neil! We appreciate you stopping by planDisney with your ticket question. I'm excited to hear that you are planning an upcoming trip to Disneyland Resort this summer!
I think a 4-day ticket to Disneyland Resort is just about the perfect amount of time to really enjoy a lot of what there is to offer. I do always recommend a
Park Hopper option because the parks are so close in proximity. The Park Hopper option really allows you to maximize your fun during your visit and gives you so much flexibility. Unfortunately, you cannot make one day of a multiday ticket a Park Hopper. You would need to upgrade your ticket in its entirety to a Park Hopper. I do have good news for you though, and that is that the price is the same for the Park Hopper option should you choose to add it to a 1-day ticket or a multiday ticket. It's one flat fee for the Park Hopper option to be added to a ticket. Horray! I hope this means you will be able to enjoy park hopping for your entire visit.
As I mentioned previously, a Park Hopper really lets you maximize your time and fun! Just recently, I was able to enjoy a day in the parks and had my night lined up that I was able to see
World of Color in Disney California Adventure Park for the first showing of the night and afterward hop over to Disneyland Park. Once I got into Disneyland Park, I was able to score a great spot on Main Street, U.S.A., for the second performance of the
Main Street Electrical Parade. This is where Park Hopping really comes in handy if you want to maximize your day because Disney California Adventure Park closes earlier than Disneyland Park.
Neil, I can't wait for you to be able to purchase your Park Hopper Tickets and begin planning all the magical details of your upcoming trip to The Happiest Place on Earth. Be sure to come back and see us again if you have any other questions along the way!
