Hi James, and welcome to planDisney! Your Walt Disney World vacation is just around the corner, so thanks so much for stopping by with your question!
One of my favorite ways to capture all of the picture-perfect memories from my family’s Walt Disney World vacations is by utilizing
Disney PhotoPass to grab those magical shots and purchasing
Memory Maker to download them. One of the best parts is that, yes, - if you are traveling with family and friends (up to 25) who are on separate reservations, they can still share your Memory Maker and add all of their photos taken during your Memory Maker window to your account. To enable sharing, everyone whose photos you would like to download will first need to be linked to you in
My Disney Experience via the Family & Friends list. They will then need to locate your name in their My Disney Experience and select “Edit” to access the photo-sharing control to give you permission to view, purchase and download their photos on Disney PhotoPass and on the
My Disney Experience Mobile App.
When a Disney PhotoPass photographer has taken a picture in the park, they will then link the photo to the person’s My Disney Experience account by scanning either a MagicBand, the
MagicMobile feature via mobile phone, or a park ticket. PG pro tip: Don’t forget to ask for Magic Shots which feature fun Disney characters added to your photo! You will also find Disney PhotoPass stations as you exit select attractions, so make sure to stop by and scan to link the photo once you see your attraction photo displayed. Attraction photos will also be available to download via Memory Maker and are always a fun treat for us to look back on and remember!
I hope this helps James! In just a few short days, your family is going to make the most wonderful memories. If you have any more questions before or during your trip,
please stop back by to ask me!
You’ve got a friend in me,
PG
