Where can I buy Disney Gift Cards? I live in Prince Edward Island, Canada and can not find them anywhere and when I try to buy them online, I have to be a U.S. Citizen.

    Hi Angela,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question!

While it's true that you can’t buy Disney Gift Cards in United States Dollars (USD) prior to your Disney Parks vacation, you do have some options available as a Canadian Guest. Several Canadian retailers offer a Canadian Dollar version of the Disney Gift Cards, which I’m happy to say can be used in the Disney Parks just like their American counterparts. I’ve purchased some of them in preparation for my next Disney Parks vacation and, even though I know that I’ll have to pay the day’s exchange rate when I do redeem them, it’s the best option that I can think of for budget-conscious Canadians who will be visiting Walt Disney World Resort.

Your other option would be to purchase Disney Gift Cards when you arrive in the US, which would give you some exchange rate “certainty” but might not be the most practical solution if you’re looking to pre-budget for your vacation spending.

I hope my answer helps you better plan your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort! Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
