Hello there! If I buy a Disney Gift Card, would it be possible to use it to purchase tickets? Based off of the dates that I choose, if the day rate is higher than what I have in my gift card, can I use my debit or credit card to cover the difference?

Hey there Ericka and welcome to planDisney. We're so glad you're here to ask this question. It sounds like you are planning a magical adventure to the Disneyland Resort and I'm thrilled to help.

Disney Gift Cards are the best, especially when you can turn one into a magical day at the Happiest Place on Earth. You most certainly can use a Disney Gift Card to purchase a Disneyland Resort theme park ticket. If the cost of the ticket is more than the value of your gift card, the website will allow you to add your credit or debit card to pay for the remaining balance. I have done this in the past and it has worked like a charm.

Pixar Fest is in full swing at the resort and it's a great time to visit. There is so much to enjoy during this celebration of friendship and beyond. I've been enjoying sampling as many Pixar-themed eats and treats during each visit. Be sure to check out the handy digital guide to the festivities in the Disneyland app during your visit and check out these tips from some fabulous planDisney panelists.

Well, Ericka, I hope this helps with your first step in purchasing your theme park tickets. Please come back to visit us with any other questions that we can help with. Here's hoping you have your best Disney day!

    Adventure is out there!
