I want to buy Disney genie plus, but I already bought my tickets without it, can I still get it?

    Hello Diana,

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. Your Walt Disney World vacation is right around the corner, and it looks like you are finalizing all of the details - so exciting! I hope your plans include spending time at the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival. The park looks particularly stunning right now with character topiaries and colorful garden displays.

Having Genie+ during your vacation can certainly help you avoid waiting in long standby lines for some of the most popular attractions throughout Walt Disney World. Although you could have signed up to have Genie+ for the entire length of your vacation ahead of time, you'll still be able to access this phenomenal cosmic power that exists in the itty bitty living space of your phone each day of your vacation.

Beginning at midnight on the day you plan to visit a park, you can add Genie+ for the day. Don't worry if you turn into a pumpkin at midnight, you'll just want to make sure you add it in the morning, prior to 7:00 AM, in time to make your first Lightning Lane selection. Adding it is easy in your My Disney Experience App. Simply go to My Genie Day, and you'll see a purple bar that says, "Take Today to the Next Level: Get Disney Genie+ for Today." Click on that and follow the prompts for you and all of the guests traveling with you. The whole process only takes a couple of minutes.

Yes, you'll need to do this each day, but that could work to your advantage. You may find that you won't need it in every park, every day. Before your trip, start getting familiar with your My Disney Experience App. Look at the daily Tip Board for each park, where you'll be able to see standby wait times and Lightning Lane availability for each attraction. If you notice that most standby lines in a specific park are relatively low, maybe you'll decide to hold off on purchasing it the day you plan to visit and use the money that you save to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane instead.

Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!
    Diane
