Hi! Can I buy a different day-ticket number for myself and my family party?

Hello Mariana, and welcome to planDisney! A family trip to the Disneyland Resort sounds fantastic – you will have an amazing time! It will all start with theme park tickets and reservations. I'm happy to share some information to get you started!

Mariana, your family certainly has flexibility when it comes to Disneyland Resort theme park tickets. The most important thing will be making sure each person has a valid ticket and park reservation for each day they wish to enter a theme park. Members of your party can have more or fewer days on their multi-day ticket depending on how many days they will be visiting over the course of your vacation.

Here's a sample scenario: Let's say everyone in your party has a 2-Day ticket and plans to spend the third day of the vacation resting at the hotel. If you prefer to continue exploring the parks, then you might get a 3-Day ticket for that extra day. Another scenario would be if you are staying at the Resort longer than the others, you might be interested in having more days on your park ticket.

To get started, visit the Disneyland website. The easiest approach might be to book different multi-day tickets in separate transactions (for example, 2-Day tickets in one transaction and 3-Day tickets in another). You'll select your reservation dates and starting parks as part of the transaction. If you prefer to book everything in one transaction, it should be possible. After you assign reservation dates to the first batch of tickets, don't check out yet. Instead, navigate to the top menu and click on "Tickets & Parks" and then "Buy Theme Park Tickets," and repeat the process for the second batch of tickets. After adding all the desired tickets to your cart, you'll assign a Guest name to each ticket before checking out.

When traveling with a big group, it's important to plan ahead so everyone is on the same page. Will you break up into smaller groups if people want to do different things? What experiences do you definitely want to do together and when? Are there dining reservations you'd like to make? I'd suggest leaving time to stop at a few Disney PhotoPass locations together to capture some nice family photos.

Mariana, I'll make a wish that you and your loved ones will make many happy memories together at the Disneyland Resort. If you think of any other questions, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney!
