It can get quite busy, though, making your question about park entry a smart one. Let's unwrap this.
A
3-day ticket with
Park Hopper Option is considered to be a date-based ticket, which means that park reservations aren't required or available for this ticket type. When you make your ticket purchase, you'll select your ticket start date, and you'll be able to
use your ticket any three days during the dates it's valid (5 days beginning with the start date for a 3-day ticket), giving you some flexibility. Admission is based on theme park capacity, so entry isn't guaranteed. That being said, if you're there at park opening, capacity limits likely won't be reached at that time. It's actually quite rare for one or more of the theme parks to pause admissions due to capacity. That's not to say that it can't happen, but it's much less common than some people think. I hope that puts your mind at ease a little.
If you're planning to head to Magic Kingdom during Christmas week, you'll have an opportunity to see the special entertainment, which is usually only performed during
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. After the parties have concluded for the season, they show
Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks in place of
Happily Ever After and
Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade in place of
