If I buy 5 days of Disney tickets but I only buy 3 days at a Disney hotel and stay elsewhere, is there anything special I would need to do? Would my hotel guest benefits automatically start the morning of the day I will be checking in?

Hi, Elizabeth! There are so many amazing benefits to being a Walt Disney World Resort hotel guest - complimentary parking at the Disney theme parks, 60-day FastPass+ access, and Extra Magic Hours just to name a few. You will be able to make use of all guest benefits as soon as you check in to your Resort hotel and until midnight the day you check out.

I am not sure if you are staying at a different place before or after your Walt Disney World Resort hotel stay, but there are a few things of which I would like for you to be aware.

Parking - Cast Members scan the MagicBands of all Resort hotel guests upon entrance to the parking lots at all theme parks and water parks. Please understand that you will receive complementary parking only on the days you are staying at the Resort hotel.

FastPass+ selection - When staying at a Resort hotel, that FastPass+ access opens 60 days from the day you check in. The entire length of your stay also opens at that time! If your off-property stay is after your Resort stay, then you will need to make FastPass+ selections for the remainder of your trip at a later date.

Disney Theme Park Tickets - Were your theme park tickets included in your stay as part of a Disney Resort Hotel Package? If so and you are staying at the other resort first, then please keep in mind that the price of your package is based on the price of tickets for days beginning with your Resort hotel stay and the tickets are "dated" to begin on that check in date. You can call to see about having the effective dates of the tickets changed to an earlier date, but you may have to pay an extra fee.

Thanks for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions about this, especially any issue with your tickets!
