What if you buy 2 day tickets to one park but there’s only 1 day for reservation available? Are you still able to visit the park ?

Hi there, Araceli! Thanks so much for bringing your question to us here at planDisney!

It sounds like you are quite familiar with the theme park reservation system. As part of the return to the magic, all Guests are required to have both a theme park ticket in addition to a theme park reservation to enter the parks. With spring break upon us, reservations have been filling up quickly, but do not lose hope! While reservations are limited and subject to availability, Guests are always modifying their plans and reservations can open up! When you purchase tickets, you are asked to make reservations for your dates. If for some reason, your date is not available, you can choose an alternative or "placeholder" date and continue to check the theme park reservation calendar. If you do see your date open up, get your fast fingers ready and follow the steps below:

    1) Open up your Disneyland Mobile App and tap into the three-bar menu in the lower right-hand corner. From here, select "Future Plans".

    2) In "Future Plans", you should see any and all theme park reservations you have upcoming, choose the one you would like to change/cancel. On the next page, you will see the option to "Cancel Reservation".

    3) Next, you will select the Guests for whom you are canceling and then tap the "Done" button to confirm.

    4) On the following page, you will see a new button to "Book Theme Park Reservation" and you can begin the process again to book your new, preferred date.

Since reservations need to be canceled before being rebooked, one thing to note is that reservations can go quickly. If you know that you will not be using the "placeholder" date you selected at purchase, you may want to go ahead and cancel it so that when you see a new date you'd like to book open up, you can just go straight to "Book Theme Park Reservation". I know this is a lot to take in, and I do like to let Guests know that these tips and tricks do not necessarily guarantee a reservation will become available. While I wish I could just wave my magic wand and open up these dates for you, my pixie dust does not extend that far!

Araceli, I do hope that you are able to visit very soon! We are in the last few weeks of the Disney California Food & Wine Festival where you can eat and drink your way through the park! I love to explore this festival with a Sip and Savor Pass which gives me 8 tabs to choose delightful bites from 12 Festival Marketplaces! If you are visiting with little ones, you won't want to miss the Alice's Wonderland Bakery Unbirthday Party where they can decorate their very own cupcakes or catch a glimpse of Chef Goofy himself!

If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at planDisney. We hope to see ya real soon!
