Hey Howdy Hey fellow Nick and welcome back to planDisney!
For many, there is always so much planning that will go into a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. With all the planning and excitement, one cannot wonder what will happen if illness prevents part or all of the trip. Not to worry Nick, you've got a friend in me to navigate you through the "what ifs".
In your particular scenario, if you have a 6-day admission to 1 park per day and only end up using a few of the days due to illness, Disney typically can be flexible on this part. In most cases, Disney typically can see that you have
Theme Park Tickets that have not been used and they can apply the cost of those tickets to the purchase of new tickets. Disney tickets are date-based, so the prices will vary based on the time of year and day of the week. So depending on when you want to go back, you may have to cover the difference from what you paid to the new cost.
The other thing you may want to keep in mind is Travel Insurance. This is available through many insurance companies and online insurance agencies meant to help recover the cost of trips that may be cut short or any other travel expenses that were not foreseen. If you do an internet search for Travel Insurance, you should be given several options you can look into to see if they cover any expenses you may be curious about. Since COVID-19, there are many updated policies on illnesses you may want to pay particular attention to.
As you continue to plan your Magical vacation, please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help!
To Infinity and Beyond,
Nick
