Hello, Michelle Alin! Welcome to
planDisney! I can tell you’re a planner, and I love it! There is something so fun and exciting about working out the details for a
Disney trip!
You absolutely can purchase tickets on two separate days in the same week. If you want single-day tickets, you might want to purchase them in separate transactions. I know it seems like a 2-day ticket would cost less, but sometimes they cost more than two 1-day tickets! That’s a planDisney tip for you! Just be sure to select the correct days when you purchase the tickets.
Regarding Rider Switch, you do not need to purchase a
Lightning Lane Multi Pass, as it will not shorten your wait time. Rider Switch splits your group into two parties if someone in your party can’t board the attraction. Many times, it’s used when a youngster in your party is too small to board the attraction. The first group notifies the cast member at the start of the attraction queue that they will be doing a rider switch, waits in the standard line to enjoy the attraction, and then the second party notifies the cast member that they are returning for their turn. They’ll be able to use the lane designated for Rider Switch, which will be faster than the standard line that the first group waited in. Be sure to read all the details about
Rider Switch on the Disneyland website.
Michelle Alin, I hope you have a magical trip to the
Disneyland Resort. If you have any other planning questions, we’ll be here for you!
I hope you have a magical day!
