If I buy a 3 day park hopper in Dec. during blackout days can I later upgrade to a Fl resident seasonal pass?

Hi, Valerie! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Enjoying a Walt Disney World Christmas, and then giving yourself the gift of another magical year with a Florida Resident Seasonal Pass sounds just perfect to me!

While you can certainly upgrade your 3-Day tickets to Florida Resident Seasonal Passes, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. First, since the blockout dates apply to the Florida Resident 3-Day Tickets, you'd need to buy a regular Magic Your Way ticket for your December visit. Because of that, you may need to complete your upgrade within 14 days of using your original tickets, rather than the 6 months you'd have with a Florida Resident 3-Day Pass. Also, with these tickets you might have to do the upgrade in person at a Guest Relations location at one of the Theme Parks.

I'd suggest calling Walt Disney World Guest Relations and asking a Cast Member to go over just what your options are. They'll be happy to outline exactly what you'll need to do to have a whole year of magical Disney days.

I hope this helps, Valerie. Please come see us again if you have any more questions.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
