Hi there, Alina! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Five days at the Happiest Place on Earth sounds like one fabulous vacation to me! I’m glad you are looking into Park Hopper tickets. It only takes about two minutes, maybe less, to hop between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park because they are literally right across from one another. It’s so easy that my family hops back and forth several times each day of our trip! If you compare the costs of
one park per day tickets and Park Hopper tickets, you will notice that the difference is a flat $50 per ticket (subject to change) no matter how many days you plan to visit. So, to upgrade your tickets at the end of your five-day adventure would cost you the same as it would to add the Park Hopper option from the beginning. But, of course, if you add the Park Hopper option to your tickets at the time of original purchase, you get to hop between parks every single day of your visit!
Furthermore, if you plan to take advantage of
Disney MaxPass, you can select FASTPASSES for attractions in either park with a Park Hopper ticket. For an additional fee, Disney MaxPass allows you to select FASTPASSES on your mobile device using the Disneyland app. So you could be enjoying Mickey’s Toontown in Disneyland Park and decide to pull a FASTPASS for Soarin’ Around the World in Disney California Adventure Park. MaxPass keeps you zooming around the parks riding your favorite attractions with minimal waits!
I hope this information was helpful. Have a fantastic time at the Disneyland Resort!
