If I buy a 1 day MYW ticket from Shades of Green and decided when we arrive that I wish to change it to a 4 or 5 day military salute ticket would that be possible?

Hi, Amanda! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

The first time my family and I went to Walt Disney World Resort, it was through the awesome Military Promotional Ticket offer. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we turned it into an annual vacation. After three years, once a year just wasn’t enough Magic for us, so we became Annual Passholders! And we owe it all to Walt Disney World Resort’s awesome commitment to members of the U.S. Military.

The specially-priced Walt Disney World Resort tickets available for Eligible Service Members through the Shades of Green ticket office are based on Theme Park, number of days and Park Hopper options. If you purchase a 1-day ticket for Magic Kingdom Park or a 1-day ticket for Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios or Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, you can upgrade your unused ticket to a multi-day Base ticket or multi-day ticket with the Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus Option. To do so, you'd need to present both your original receipt AND your unused ticket at the Shades of Green ticket office. Since the 2019 Disney Military Promotional Tickets (previously known as the Disney Military Salute Tickets) are in a separate category, you would not be able to apply the purchase price of the single-day ticket to a multi-day Military Promotional Ticket.

Please keep in mind that the Military Promotional Ticket offer expires December 19, 2019, is only available to active and retired members of the U.S. Military (with valid Military ID), and no more than six may be purchased and activated by the Eligible Service Member (or their spouse).

I hope this answers your question, Amanda! Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
