Hey Howdy Hey Wanda and welcome to planDisney!
Thank you so much for stopping by with your question about
Theme Park Ticket usage. The devil is in the details so let's go over a few scenarios that may apply to your situation to get you the best answer.
When you purchase your Theme Park Tickets during your stay, the flexibility is determined by the amount of days purchased. Tickets are date-based, meaning the price differs depending on the day and the Theme Park selected for usage. If you purchase a 1-day ticket, your ticket can be used on that day and will expire the same day. With the purchase of multi-day tickets, you have more flexibility in when you use them, but this
flexibility is determined by the number of days you purchase. 2-day park tickets have an expiration date of 4 days from the start date, 3-day tickets will expire 5 days after the start date and so on.
That being said, if you do find yourself not wanting to use your tickets for a day the weather may not be as nice as another and they end up expiring, you still have an option. In most cases, Disney will allow you to use the purchase of your unused and expired tickets for the purchase of a new ticket. As these tickets are date-based, you are responsible for the difference if the new date is more expensive than the original tickets.
I always say that a rainy day in Disney is better than a day at work! Feel free to lean into the rainy weather. As long as you are prepared for the rain, you will enjoy a park with reduced crowds and wait times to go along with them. I hope I have answered your question and now you are better prepared for your trip later this year. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach back out and let us know, we are always happy to help!
Have a Magical day,
Nick
