Hiya, Jennifer! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney. It's always a treat to help out a fellow Michigander with some tips and tricks for a magical
Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Let's get right to it, shall we?
No one does Christmas and New Year's quite like Walt Disney World, and there are so many wonderful experiences to enjoy when you visit. From the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays to the pure Christmas magic of
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at
Magic Kingdom Park, it's a really special way to celebrate the holidays.
However, all of this Christmas magic means that the crowds can be sizable during the December holidays! If you are planning to visit during this stretch, it's a good idea to purchase your
date-based theme park tickets early as the parks can (and do) reach capacity at times. I spoke with a Cast Member to confirm that if you can purchase a date-based ticket, it means there is availability for that date. This means that you are guaranteed park entrance on that date. For other admission types including non-dated tickets, Theme Park Reservations may be required to help manage attendance and ensure a safe and fun experience for all Guests.
Jennifer, I hope this information is helpful for your planning purposes and that you'll be celebrating the most wonderful time of the year at The Most Magical Place on Earth! It's been a pleasure to help with your question--please don't hesitate to
reach out directly if I can help with any other details to add a little extra pixie dust to your vacation.
See Ya Real Soon!
Susan
