Hey Stephanie!
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for bringing such a great question our way!
You can certainly use a
Disney Gift Card purchased in Canadian Dollars at the
Disneyland Resort. Let me explain how it works. The face value of your Disney Gift Card bought with CAD will automatically convert into USD based on the exchange rate on the day the card is first used here in the United States. After the first purchase, the amount left is “locked in” to USD and you'll no longer need to worry about the exchange rate for subsequent Gift Card transactions. So, be sure to check the bottom of the first receipt you receive when making a purchase. It will reflect the amount you have left on your Disney Gift Card!
I love using Disney Gift Cards while on vacation at the Disneyland Resort. It’s a great way to stay on track with my budget and it can be more convenient than carrying cash. Disney Gift Cards are accepted at participating Disney-owned-and-operated locations throughout the Disneyland Resort including theme parks, hotels and the
Downtown Disney District. Use your gift card to purchase theme park tickets, Magic Keys, tours, merchandise, dining and more!
I truly hope this information has been helpful. Please do not hesitate to come back to planDisney with future questions!
