If I buy California Resident tickets and can't make the reservation dates I picked, what happens? Obviously, I don't know our schedule, my kids are in school, and may not be able to miss, but we're required to make reservations at purchase.

Hi Santosha! Thanks for visiting planDisney.

Yes, you can absolutely modify your theme park reservation date and select a new date, depending on availability. Do be aware that dates or parks can sell out especially at popular times of year. I can walk you through how to go about modifying your existing theme park reservation.

To enter the parks you currently need both a valid admission ticket and a theme park reservation. While you selected dates you expected would work for your family, sometimes life gets in the way. If you need to change the date you plan to visit the parks, visit My Theme Park Reservations. Choose "Modify Reservation" for the theme park reservation you'd like to change. You'll be asked which members of your party need to be modified and you'll choose "Select All" if you're going to go together. From the available dates select your new preferred date and choose the park you want to visit. Review and if all looks correct, click "Continue." Afterward, you'll receive an email confirming your new theme park reservation.

In the meantime, be sure to check out the Disney Parks Blog for all the new things you can expect to experience on your upcoming visit. From treats to merchandise to entertainment, there's bound to be something you'll want to put on your must-do or must-have list, and planning for the fun helps build magical anticipation. I'm dreaming about some of those cute festive snacks that are debuting for Halloween Time. What are you excited to try?

    I hope that helps!
