Hi, Erin! Welcome to planDisney.
If you're thinking about gifting a Walt Disney World ticket or
annual pass to a family member, that's such a fun idea. I was clearly born into the wrong family! There's something special about giving someone the chance to experience all the magic for themselves, whether it's riding their favorite attractions, meeting characters, experiencing delicious dining, or simply enjoying a day full of Disney fun. Florida residents especially have some great perks when it comes to tickets and passes, making it even more exciting to share.
You can buy a
Florida Resident Annual Pass or tickets for your brother,
as long as he meets the residency requirements. Florida Resident tickets and annual passes are tied to the person's proof of residency, so when your brother goes to activate or use the pass/tickets, he'll need a Florida ID to do so. You can purchase it online, at the ticket windows, or through the My Disney Experience app, but just remember that the residency verification is required at the park for activation.
If your brother isn't local but you still want to give a Disney experience, consider buying a regular
ticket or even a
Disney Gift Card instead. He can use the gift card to put toward park admission or even food and merchandise. And if he is a Florida resident, keep an eye out for
special offers on tickets; sometimes Disney has great deals that make gifting even sweeter.
TTFN, ta-ta for now!
Mike
