Where to buy autograph books at WDW

Hi there, Bud, and welcome to planDisney! While I'm not a Fairy Godmother, I am a "Fairy Grandmother." Not long ago, I was on a quest to find the perfect autograph book for my granddaughters, so I'm happy to offer you my pixie-dusted assistance.

While styles and varieties vary by season, autograph books will be easily found at Walt Disney World Resort. You should see them in most gift shops inside the parks, at Disney Resort hotels, and at Disney Springs. I happen to be at Animal Kingdom Lodge as I write to you, so I stopped at the gift shop to check out some of the current styles. I saw an adorable Minnie Mouse autograph book with a big puffy bow on it and another featuring Mickey and his pals, which even included a pen! If you find yourself at EPCOT, I always recommend the Creations Shop when I'm looking for a wide variety of souvenirs. On a side note: generally, I find autograph books closer to the registers, but if you can't locate them, the friendly Cast Members will be happy to work their magic and point you in the right direction.

Now, Bud, before I leave you to your search, let me give you a few tips on how to find those beloved characters. The easiest way to locate characters is by using the My Disney Experience app. After opening the app, select the map icon at the bottom of the page. Then, at the top center, you will see the "Wait Times" option. Click on the drop-down menu and change it to "Characters." Like Fairy Godmother magic, you'll be able to see where the characters are located. You can also select a specific theme park from the "Filters" tab. I recommend using the "Show List" feature so little ones can see pictures of the characters they want to meet.

Finally, my granddaughters' favorite way to meet characters is through Character Dining. At Cape May Cafe, for example, my girls got to meet Minnie Mouse, Pluto, and Goofy, and they also got to dance with them while getting their autographs. If you are interested in Character Dining, reserve your dining times right at the 60-day mark before your arrival day. These experiences are very popular, and you don't want to miss out on being bibbidi bobbidi booked!

I hope this helps you have the most magical time. I'm here with my planDisney magic wand anytime, so reach out if we can help again.

Wishing you a happily ever after,
    Shonette
