Hiya Ashley!
Oh boy, am I excited you stopped by planDisney with your Annual Pass question! First things first, I love that you are thinking about joining the club… the Mickey Mouse Club, that is!  In my house, we’ve been Annual Passholders for over 10 years, and let me tell you, it feels like having a key to the kingdom (and all four parks, too!).
So let’s jump right into your question. If you’ve purchased a
brand-new Annual Pass, it doesn’t officially start until you activate it by entering a theme park. (Or, if you added the Water Park and Sports Option, your first visit to a water park, golf course, or other activity will do the trick, too!). Just remember—your pass needs to be activated within one year of purchase. If it’s not, it’ll expire faster than Cinderella’s carriage at midnight, and you won’t be able to use it for park reservations.
Once you renew, your pass is valid for a whole year from the renewal date—so you’ll have plenty of time for magical moments, whether it’s a quick zip-a-dee-doo-dah day trip or a weeklong staycation.
And let’s talk perks, because being a Passholder is like finding the hidden treasures of
savings! You’ll get exclusive magnets (the side of my fridge is practically filled with the Hall of Fame of Mickey and friends), discounts on select food and merchandise, and sometimes even special pricing for select seasonal events like
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
So, Ashley, grab those ears and get ready—your magical year of memory-making is about to begin! If you have more questions, feel free to visit us again.
See ya real soon,
Christina
