If I buy annual pass, does the year start from 1st visit?

    Hi there, Garry.

Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for swinging by with your question for us. I’m delighted to see you’re planning on purchasing a Magic Key pass. I recently took the plunge and bought a pass for my family and me. Because of the pandemic, it’s been a while since we were able to take frequent trips to the Happiest Place on Earth. With the new Magic Key pass, Garry, you’ll be able to take more trips and create new memories at the Disneyland Resort. And don’t forget, you’ll be able to take advantage of discounts at select merchandise and dining locations as well.

Your Magic Key will be activated upon its first use. For a Dream Key which includes standard theme park parking, it is activated when you use the parking benefit for the first time, or when you use the pass to enter the theme park for the first time. If you have any other Magic Key, it is activated the first time you use the pass to enter the theme park. Once activated, it will expire one year after its first use. If you don’t activate the pass, it will expire one year from the purchase date.

I hope this information is helpful for you. As you continue to plan many more trips, please don’t hesitate to visit us again if you have additional questions. We’re all EARS!

    See ya real soon,
    Kiki

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings from Northern California! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
