I am a Magic Key holder myself, and I always love chatting with future Magic Key holders because there is so much to love about these passes. Let’s jump right into your question. You have
one year from the date of purchase to activate your new Magic Key. Your pass officially activates the first time you use it, whether that is scanning into a theme park or using the parking benefit. From that first use, your Magic Key will be valid for one full year.
As a Magic Key holder, there are so many great perks to enjoy. Depending on the level of pass you choose, you can receive discounted or complimentary parking, along with
discounts on food and merchandise. Magic Key holders also enjoy access to special events and early opportunities to purchase tickets for select events. And of course, one of the biggest benefits is the flexibility to visit the parks again and again when it works best for you. It really is a wonderful way to experience the magic over and over!
One of my personal favorite perks is access to the
Magic Key Terrace in Disney California Adventure. This reservation based spot is located above the Golden Vine Winery and is such a great place to take a quiet break during a busy park day. With delicious meal options and an extensive cocktail and wine menu, it is one of my go to places to relax, recharge, and soak in the views before heading back out for more adventures.
