Hello there, Nicole. Welcome to
planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question.
As a
Walt Disney World Annual Passholder myself, I can say with confidence that it is well worth the initial investment. I love being able to visit the Walt Disney World Theme Parks pretty much any day of the year that I can make work with my schedule plus the discounts on resort hotel stays, food and merchandise are pretty great too.
Nicole, before we continue with your question, I did want to make you aware that Walt Disney World Annual Passes for out-of-state Guests are currently put on pause. They are not selling the style of pass that you would need being an out-of-state Guest. Hopefully, the program will come back soon for new out-of-state Guests to purchase, however, I don't know of an updated timeframe of when that would be.
Now, with that being said when you do get a
Walt Disney World Annual Pass it will expire one year from activation which is the first use. Now, when you first load your ticket onto your MyDisneyExperience account you'll see a date that will be one year from your purchase date. This means you have one year to activate your annual pass - this is not when the pass expires. Once you activate your pass, meaning you use it for the first time, a new expiration date would be reflected.
I hope that makes sense, Nicole. If you have any other questions about this or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help.
I have my fingers crossed for you!
