Hey there, Jina! Thanks for visiting us here at planDisney with your question.
Jina, I absolutely love being a
Walt Disney World Annual Passholder. Being able to visit the Walt Disney World Theme Parks practically whenever is so much fun. Also, all of the discounts on food, merchandise and resort stays are great!
A brand new Walt Disney World Annual Pass expires one year from the first day of use. When you purchase your new annual pass and link it to your MyDisneyExperience account, you'll notice an expiration date that is one year from your purchase date. This is how long you have to activate your new annual pass. Once it is activated, you'll see a new date reflected for your expiration date.
Jina, I did want to mention that right now the sale of most new Walt Disney World Annual Passes has been temporarily suspended again. The only pass that is currently for sale is the
Disney Pixie Dust Pass. This annual pass is only available to Florida residents and includes most weekday visits. The Pixie Dust Pass is subject to blockout dates during peak and holiday times. If this is the pass you are wanting to gift for Christmas then great but if not you may have to wait a little bit in order to purchase your gifts. I can't foresee the pause lasting too long, I'm thinking we will probably see all of the annual passes come back after the holiday season.
I hope this helps, Jina. If you have any other questions about the Walt Disney World Annual Pass program, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Enjoy your holiday season!
