I want to buy and annual pass online. I know it lasts for one calendar year. Does that year start when you purchase it online, or when you first USE it at the park.

    Hi Bobbie!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I love my Annual Pass to Walt Disney World Resort and would be happy to tackle your question. Your year of access to the Disney theme parks begins on the first day you use your Annual Pass, not the day you purchase it. For instance, last year I purchased my Annual Pass in September but did not enter any of the theme parks until I presented it to gain admission to Epcot in mid-October. Therefore, my Annual Pass was activated in mid-October of 2017 and will be valid until mid-October in 2018. Does that make sense?

When you purchase your Annual Pass, be sure to read online about all the amazing discounts available to Annual Passholders. You will find them under the "View Special Offers" link on the Walt Disney World Resort website. (I love my merchandise and guest room discounts!) Also, be sure to read the quarterly Mickey Monitor newsletter that is mailed to your home for news from the theme parks and alerts regarding new perks for Annual Passholders.

Enjoy every minute of that Annual Pass and don't hesitate to ask if you need additional advice about how to squeeze every ounce of magic out of it.

Sending best wishes and pixie dust,
    Jill
