    If I buy an annual pass 3 months out from my trip, will I receive my AP MagicBand before my trip? Or will I only receive it after activating the pass?

    Hey, Tammy and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    The benefits of discounts on dining, tours, merchandise, hotels, free parking at all theme parks, Disney PhotoPass Service, park hopping and of course a customizable MagicBand, make being a Passholder "practically perfect in every way." Also each year you renew your annual pass you qualify for a new MagicBand. I love being an Annual Passholder and cannot wait for my next trip this year to see Mickey and the gang as well as Phineas, Ezra, and Gus, my hitchhiking ghost friends at the Haunted Mansion.

    Each Passholder is entitled to a MagicBand. The bands become available for customization after they have been activated then shipped afterward. Until you get your annual pass MagicBand, you may use any MagicBand linked to your Disney account through My Disney Experience.

    Disney Dad Tip: There are two styles of MagicBands: MagicBand and MagicBand 2. MagicBand 2 which is the current design has a removable pod called an Icon. You can mix bands and active Icons to create amazing combinations.
