If I buy an annual pass for Christmas ‘21 and I by them in November ‘21, when is the actual start date of the pass

    Hey there, Jonathan!

From one Floridian to another, welcome to planDisney! Thank you for stopping by with your great question about Walt Disney World Resort annual passes.

Purchasing a Walt Disney World Resort annual pass as a Christmas gift sounds positively magical, Jonathan.

When you purchase your Walt Disney World Resort annual pass this November, you will technically receive a Walt Disney World Resort annual pass exchange certificate. This certificate must be exchanged for a Walt Disney World Resort annual pass within one year of purchase. After one year, the amount paid for an unused, expired annual pass certificate may be applied towards the purchase of a new annual pass at current prices so long as the new pass purchase price is equal to or greater than the amount paid for the original annual pass certificate.

Once your annual pass certificate is exchanged and your Walt Disney World Resort annual pass is activated, it will expire in exactly one year! If you decide to activate your annual pass in December of 2021, it will be valid until December of 2022.

I hope this makes sense, Jonathan. If you have any other questions or need further clarification, please do not hesitate to visit planDisney again. We are all EARS!
