Hello and Welcome to planDisney. I am so glad you've stopped by to discuss becoming a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder.
I've been a
Walt Disney World Annual Passholder for years now and I can absolutely say that it is worth the investment. Some of my favorite perks of the program include complimentary parking at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks, the use of
Memory Maker for the entire year and all the discounts on food, merchandise and select resort stays. Plus, getting to visit the Walt Disney World Theme Parks any day of the year isn't bad either!
As of right now, the sale of new Walt Disney World Annual Passes is still temporarily suspended. The program has not yet returned for purchase since the reopening of Walt Disney World last summer. There are still some capacity limitations at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks and I think they are using the temporary hold of the program to help with that. However, we just received word a few weeks ago that the program is indeed coming back. In fact, we will see it back for purchase before the 50th celebration kicks off on October 1st. That is really exciting news! So it won't be long now until you can join the Walt Disney World Annual Passholder family!
If you want to visit before you are able to purchase an annual pass you have two different ticket options to choose from currently. You can purchase a
standard theme park ticket that allows entry into one Walt Disney World Theme Park per day or you can upgrade to the
park hopper option. Park hopping is where you are able to visit multiple Walt Disney World Theme Parks in one day. There is no bad option but I happen to love park hopping. It's my favorite way to spend a Disney day.
I'm excited that the sale of new Walt Disney World Annual Passes is going to open up soon. I know a lot of people are so eager to join the program. Be sure to keep an eye over on the
Disney Parks Blog for an announcement about when and how to purchase your new pass. Also, if you have any other questions or need an update, you can always stop back by here and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Have a great day!
